Snowvantage

Affiliate disclosure

Snowvantage earns money from affiliate commission. When you follow some of our outbound links and go on to book, the operator pays us a percentage of what you spend. You pay exactly the same price either way.

Which links earn us money

Commercial links are marked rel="sponsored" in the page source. Links to operators we have no relationship with are marked rel="nofollow" and labelled “editorial link — we earn nothing” in the operator directory. We list operators whether or not they pay us, because a directory that only shows paying partners is an advert, not a directory.

What commission does not do

It does not affect the ranking. The Snow Value Index is computed from snow data, altitude, and cost — there is no input for what an operator pays, and no way to buy a position. Resorts sold only by operators who pay us nothing appear at the top of the ranking whenever the numbers put them there.

We do not run a sponsored resort of the week, and we do not accept payment for a review or a score. If that ever changes, it will be labelled on the page itself, not buried here.

Press trips

Where a resort or tourist board has hosted a visit, that is stated on the resort page. A hosted trip buys our attention, never our conclusion.

What we are not

We are not a travel agent, a tour operator, or an organiser of package holidays. We do not take bookings, hold client money, or contract with you for any travel service. Your contract is with whoever you book with, and their terms and their financial protection apply.
